Need a new windshield
Anyone know where to pick up a new windshield in town or do I have to order one?

I think you will probably have to order one. After replacing three windshields I went to a Lexan at about a fourth of the cost. Take your old windshield down to Plastic Engineering and have them cut you one ($40 for the Lexan and $40 for the labor).

I think Finish line in FL has them.
You can take the car to an auto glass shop, maybe there will be a match to something they have.

Finish Line, Cobra Restorers, and Shell Valley all sell them. I think I got mine from Restorers since at the time their price and shipping was lower. Only took about an hour to install, and that was with me not knowing what I was doing. Word of caution, use care with the side screws. I just had to have that last 1/16 turn...I've been living with a 3/8" "ching" for a couple years now and still kick myself everytime I look at it. My next one will be Lexan.

Lexan, cost $53. I cut it to shape with bandsaw and installed it myself. Jim

Also have an EM and just put in third windshield. This one is lexan bought from Pro Glass in Illinois. Cut to correct size and shaped. It fits perfect. Cost was $225.00 but insurance paid in full. Their # is 630-553-3141. You will need slightly thicker rubber since lexan appears to be about 1/64 thinner. Good luck Jerry

Well it seem like the consensus seems to be for Lexan. I called Regal Plastics in Phx. today and they carry Lexan but never heard of marguard (from the other thread) about 160.00 per sheet. I also called for Pro Glass and there is no phone listing for Phx. area, is this only a company in Illinois?

Also look at the comment from Wolverine in the 4/25 post and click on his link and it will give you more info. I also bought the cleaning kit from Tulsa Enterprises and it works very well

Think I got my polycarbonate (actually a different brand than Lexan) from Laird Plastics in Phx.
