So what did you find out? Didn't sound like it was going to be that easy to fix at the party.

I didn't think it would be, but it was. I had a broken distributor cap. Just slightly cracked. New cap.. new car.. So Linda's here and will be next Saturday. Let's do lunch!

I'll go if mine is back up. Went for a short drive yesterday and it developed a weird miss between 1,500 and 2,500.

It did it once before on the way back from the Pav one night. it was a few days before I could try it out and the miss was gone so I never figured it out.
I have another EFI harness so I might just try swapping out some of the sensors and see if that does it.

Good luck. If you need help, let me know. I know a good mech who specializes in electronic issues.

Try giving your spark plug wires, distributor cap, and distributor a good shot of WD40. Could very well be a moisture problem.

Good idea karl. It runs well past 3K and idles OK, it's just in that little range that it's giving problems.
Tanks Dan. I need to eventually get it to a 5.0 type shop and have it dyno'd and tweaked. Just need to have to have the spare $$s

Tim, Spoooky, has Anthem or Spf asked you to show your car at Barrett Jackson in the Booth? It would make a fine example.

Bob,
No not yet at Barrett Jackson but Charlie did talk a bit about it at the party. The car has been at a few things they have done already. Last was an event for High Line Auto magazine.

How do we sign up for the dyno? Contact Anthem? My car doesn't have a lot of ponys to start with so I'd like to make sure I'm getting everything I can.

Wolverine,

Dyno day may not be the best place for real tuning due to the shared attention with other cars.

I just used XACT dyno (Tim) for my tune (534 HP at the rears). He has a dyno that bolts in place of the wheels, negating the need for weight/tiedowns and eliminating tire slip on rollers. Tim is a very experienced tuner and did me right at 2 hours time (he did not charge for set-up, etc...).

Contact Anthem and they will put you on the list. I spoke to them today and they plan to do it monthly. Not sure how many they are going to run in a day but it should be fun and safe. Also found out the my Cobra will be in the Roush booth at Barrett-Jackson all that week. Their # is 623-879-0930.

Tim, Spoooky, I'll keep a watchful eye on your car at the Shelby/SPF/Roush/Anthem display. I will probably be in the booth Thurs and Friday representing Superformance.org. Stop in, stay a while, say hi. You will find yourself very welcome there.
