How Many Hours Labor
to finish a Classic Roadster Cobra. From start to finish with all the correct parts. I need an estimate on how long (in hours of your labor) it took you to finish you Cobra build.
Thanks!

I figure 400 to 500 hours to build my Hurricane, included many personal modifications for fun. This didn't include body and paint work..I just had it done.

Figure out your estimate, and then double it.

Wish I could help you out. I'm just starting a build of a CRII. I have a spreadsheet worked out with material costs, but nothing on the man hours. Considering I've never done anything like this, I would think my time will be at the higher end of any estimate.
Good Luck!

1157 hrs. That includes all paint and body, I'm kinda slow, plus polishing of all aluminum parts, fabricating billet line clamps, etc.

I suppose you could say it was a "Labor of Love". I'm not building a kit, just wondered how many hours some folks worked.

I spent at least 15 seconds filling out the check for my SPF once it was delivered to my driveway.
Easiest build I've ever done.

Actually, the build never stops until you sell it to somebody that wants to continue the build...does this make any sense?
There is the "initial build", actually putting it together so it is a streetable car and on the road.
Before the "initial build" there is all the planning phase and getting the money together.
After the "initial build" there is all the "re-dos", you know fixing all the things that don't quite work real great or look kind of funky.
Then after that there are the "mods", you know...upgrades and more expense, anything to make it go faster and handle better.
Yes, the darn thing is a true labor of love and there is no end to the hours of work, but its so much fun.
