Our thought and prayer for all of you.
 |
Karl blew me off the road on the uphill grade only to be nailed by a highway patrol car sitting near the top of the grade. What was the final story Karl? Sorry he got you. I feel lucky we made it home with no other problems. We, as a group, drove pretty conservative home. I thought 55 mph was fast enough for me today.
Glad to hear about Stuart is pretty OK. All of us were tying out best to move the car and get him out. I was shocked when he sat up and tried to climb out of the car, asking "what happened". I was walking back to my car when I saw the SUV lock the breaks and plow into to Dan and Jeff's cars. Sorry guys, I'm (we are all) so glad you were not in the car when the lady rear ended you. I was watching that lane of traffic go by at or near the speed limit. Wonder if a cell phone was in her ear? Stuart...our whole community is pulling for a speedy recovery. You're one tough cookie. And, the AZ Cobra club members can be proud that they reacted so quickly and were able to lend life saving assistance. Contrats to everyone. |

Guys, While commiserating over a cold beer this afternoon, the question came up about what would have/could have happened to all of us if mine and Jeff's cars hadn't been parked where they were. I believe the mayhem and carnage would have been much worse. What if Linda and I hadn't had an arguement and she hadn't stayed in San Diego this week? She'd have been sitting in the car while I was trying to help with Stuart. That would have been terrible. When all is said and done, I guess losing a car and damaging another is about as well as this could have happened since the dumb broad in the SUV wasn't willing to slow down.. It could have been much worse.
Oh, and ya'll should have heard the DPS officer who was driving his new car with 9000 miles on it.... My new mantra.. Does anyone know where I can find a CCX car for sale? |

It appears that the body flexed at the seat level. Jeff |
Hell of a day. Thank God Stuart's injuries were only what they were and that idiot in the SUV didn't kill any of the rest of us. That thing smashing into Dan's car just 2 lanes from where Pam was sitting was just surreal.
You're a great group of folks, Pam and I would hate to lose any of you. |
Good to hear everyone is going to be ok! It's terrible that so many people had to suffer damage because of one person's stupidity!
Stuart, hope you have a quick and full recovery! |
The best attorneys for a situation like this if, if you need one ,is Harris and Polumbo Their the best in the valley and rated 5 star..mention either Gloria or Dave Shulak to them when you call...John Harris , the owner, was my cousin...He died of Cancer last year but his fine firm rolls on...They do all of Nationwide's work ....Dave
|

I wonder what happened to the other 2 cars in front of him? Did anyone else recall 2 other cars? I wonder if they bolted.. Sorry Dan and Jeff hopefully she is well insured. |
All in all as the pics of Stuart's car show that it did it's job. It's a wreck but the drivers area is all intact. So much for pi$$ing on KIT cars.
Dan (my twin) glad to hear you are thinking of getting another car. Jeff hope you can get yours fix or replaced. Again get well quick Stuart. |
Please let us know where we can send cards, etc. along with our prayers to Stuart. Wish we could send new Cobras to you guys, but alas!!!!! Haven't been able to stop thinking about the events of today. So many things went so wrong, but, on the other hand, so many things went so right. Please, let Bob and I know if we can help in any way. Jo Fitz

Absolutely, where to send cards to the injured parties and where to send the hit man for the lunatic woman. I'll bet she was on the phone.
My prayers are with you, God speed your recovery, Cobra speed!!! Dennis AKA snakebitekit |
Thank God everyone is ok because all that other stuff can be fixed. Keep us posted on Stuarts recovery.

Back from the white light
Can anyone let us know where Stuart is? Which hospital? Is he allowed visitors? I have a need to see him to erase the picture I have in my mind of him in the car with those cables against his throat. Think I'll sleep better once I see him whole and on his way to recovery.
Thanks Bev |
Best wishes to Stuart for a speedy recovery.

Thank god no one was hurt in the secondary accident. And is sounds like Stuart will survive to drive another day.
They have been installing those d*mn cable barriers here in Washington the last couple years. The things are deadly and should be outlawed. There have been a couple highly reported accidents where they did not even slow down the car that went over them and into oncoming traffic. Motorcycles consider them cheese graters. |
Thank God nobody was killed! My prayers go out to everyone involved.
Keep us posted on Stuarts recovery. Just goes to show all of us how quickly our lives can change. Randy |
I am very glad things did not go worse for you all. Best wishes and hope that Stuart is holding up well.
Dan, Great to hear you want another CCX. They are great cars......... There have been a few nice ones for sale lately, one local to me is for sale. If I can help locate one drop me a line. Jeff |
