Hey Jason,
The tranny angle not allowing the D shaft to fit the hoop may mean you are not aligned properly. You need to STRING the install or confirm the axis of crank/tranny main shaft and pinion are all in line. Then confirm the pinion and D shaft are in the correct angle etc.. Way too much for my 1 finger hacking so maybe call if I have confused ya.
