Air Filter Clearance problems??!??
I'm getting close. I finally have some pictures but I can't get them to load. I will keep trying. It keeps giving me a "file to big to load" even with only one picture. The 511 motor is a tight fit but sounds great. John think it might be ready by the end of next week. That empty space in my garage is getting anxoius as well. I can't wait to meet you guys and get the car out on the road.
Ron

Hey Ron,
The photos look good, she is getting pretty close to done. I was going to send you a photo re-sizer link earlier but you do not have P/M mail enabled here on CC. The car looks fast just sitting there!! I do like black and chrome just jumps off the black at you. I do like it better on your car than mine when it is time to clean and polish anyway. Hope to see you and your Toy soon.

I think I have the PM function working now. Thanks. Yes I am not going to like trying to keep it clean but it sure looks nice when it is.
Thanks
Ron

Thanks Mike, I guess I am "photo challenged" What I lack in photoshop capabilities I make up for with a love of cobra's! I found out yesterday that with this engine never being put itno a csx car before, the air cleaners are a bit too tall and the hood won't shut without trimming out the extra space under the scoop. Anthem is putting the finishing touches on the car and should be ready in the next week or so. I can't say how much I have been impressed in his committment to getting things done right and not settling for halfway.
I have been debating about keeping the bumpers or putting on the quickjacks. I like the looks of both of them. Any suggestions/comments?
Ron

Who says don't buy black cars in Az. It looks great, but I'm biased mine is black also.

Looks great!
Ron,
The car and engine look great! I am sure you can't wait to get her on the road.
You'll need to invest in some decent tires for the beast--either Goodyear Billboards (look great) or Avons (perform great).
Good luck.

Keep the bumpers. They wonīt dig out nearly as much of you shin bone when you run your leg into them. Being as equilibrium-challenged as I am, I donīt have either on the front of my car. Iīve surely saved many gouges to my body. Same story regarding side pipes, for me.

Wow! Beautiful looking car. The bumpers really do set-off the black paint. The black just adds to the lines of the car. The air-cleaners are a bit imposing. What about using the small ones in the velocity stacks. Perhaps you may not have to worry about hood modifications.

Keep the bumpers...most Cobras don't have them. Mine does, and it's black too.

Black Cobras with bumpers look great. That car would look spectacular either way.. but keep the bumpers..
I remember....

Well I got the car registered so it is legal. Now just a couple of minor details and I will have it on the road!

Hood Clearance
Just have Levy make you a special cover. He made me a custom air cleaner for my big block before it "went to heaven". Sounds to me like you are going to have to cut your hood a bit. "Shaker Hood".
