Looks pretty.. 'cept it ain't no FORD motor.. other than that, it's pretty.. Pretty is a good word for it.. yep.. It's pretty. Ask Mr. Jeff. I bet he thinks it's "pretty" also..

Pretty hmmmm !
Not sure pretty was my first thought. I do appreciate any clean build, even if it was a Ford. I grew up with a real dysfunctional group, my best buddy was a Ford guy, my Dad raced only Chrysler influenced stuff like Donovan and K Black engines so why I was drawn to the chebbies???
Dan it is a good thing we like different stuff. I know you are a first rate scrounge and I ain't bad so this way there is no chance of us grabbing each others favorite hot rod parts. As far as the shorties they are a cool find!

Daniel...it was nice to meet you when Dave and I dropped by recently. The build seems to be coming along nicely. Let us know if we can help in any way. You'll take lots of heat about the motor but just keep your hood closed and no one will now the difference. LOL

Mikie B. EVERYONE will know the difference because all they'll see are Daniel's tail lights and they'll realize that ain't no normal FoMoCo.

LOL thanks Karl. Nothing too special when she first gets on the road. Basic LS1 with a few bolt-ons. After I get used to the car then I'll start pulling the trick out from under my sleeve..
Dan, thanks. Someone asked me to describe it a few words the other day and I was having a hard time. Pretty will fit just fine..
Jeff, don't worry I'll fit in with the dysfunctional crowd...
Mike, pleasure to meet Dave and yourself the other weekend. After you guys left the noise must've peaked all the neighbors interest. They all came over with compliments on the cars..

Mike, Well dropped on my head is easier to take than being thrown so guess life is good. Either way I am still a chebbie guy at heart but know I can count on my blue oval bud's to tell me thats bad, very bad.

Yes, Chebbie is Bad. Berry, berry bad!
Being dropped a few times on the head isn't so bad, it never affected me!

Having owned a 2000 WS6 T/A with the basic LS1 and some simple upgrades to it...I really wondered how nice my Superformance would have been with a hot 383 LSx block under the hood, hell the weight savings alone is impressive. Oh well, nice to see something different and it looks nice...can't wait to hear your impressions when it's done.

Ahh nice. Yep I had a 2000 T/A as well. Pretty much every bolt-on you could by. Longtube headers, true duals, AFR heads, cam, and laughing gas for that little push. It was a low 11 second car with my driving, might have been quicker with a better driver.. Plus it had all the suspension upgrades so it would turn a corner also. That was what made me wonder. Man if I can get a 3000+lbs car to move and handle that quick wonder what I can do with this..

grabbing each others hot rod parts
You guys go at it..
I'll get a video camera.
bowtie,blue oval,pentastar, whatever......
I might put a GMC 6.5 turbodiesel in mine or maybe a Mercruiser 2 stroke V6 outboard engine, Or Mazda rotary, or electric?? Steam? sails? solar? CNG?
The good old 500CID cadillac is getting cheaper. I put one of those in my Jeep Wagoneer years ago. I have a 4.9 cadillac engine W EFI sitting in my carport right now The damn thing is all aluminum.
A ford van with a V10 is cheap to buy right now... How about a V10 blue Oval in my Cobra??
I say the soul of Carrol Shelbys creations and the heart of racing is to use what you can find and build something to go fast :
