Mikie, here's to getting back in the Cobra soon. In the meantime, we'll be lost without you. Or, maybe we'll get there quicker.

Thanks for all the well wishes for Mikie.

His surgery got started a little later than planned, lasted a little over two hours, but was in recovery by 6:00 pm. The doctor said it went really well, and he pulled through like a champ. He didn't get to his room until about 8:00pm. He was awake and giving the nurses a hard time. He blamed his nausea on the the two tranporters that brought him to his room ... said something about them doing donuts in the hall with his bed.

He said he was feeling pretty good, but after an hour or so decided not to be a hero and agreed to take something for the pain. He had orders to get up at 10:00pm and sit in the chair for awhile and maybe take a few steps. They were going to be easy on him for tonight since he got to his room so late. Watch out, tomorrow will be a different story. He will get little sleep and will be walking more than he'll want to be doing.

And if all goes well, he'll be home on Sunday.

Ginny C.
