Karl,
I can just imagine you flying through the bushes and trees. Scary. Glad you're still upright, and hopefully not in too much pain.

vettestr 02-21-2009 08:52 PM

Karlos,
Glad to hear you are OK and are not hurt any more than you were. First thing I thought when I heard you crashed was ... God let his neck be OK ! Hope you are not too sore tomorrow.

I hope you know if you need anything all you have to to is let me know.

Karl Bebout 02-22-2009 10:30 AM

Jeff C. That titanium thingy in my neck is still there, I guess. Haven't had anything wierd poking through the skin so it must be OK. I'm sure hoping my insurance decides to fix my baby. I think of all the hours and dollars I've put into her and how happy she's made me. I do like being different and she's certainly all that but more important are the freindships that have developed from our little community.

That sucks about your car but I am glad to hear you are okay!

RANDYRC2 02-23-2009 03:02 PM

This is Randy with the yellow Cobra, Rob @ Drew Brothers Customs 480- 785-2345 in Chandler (I10 & 56st) fixed mine 2 yrs ago when my wife popped the clutch into a parked car. He dismantled, fixed/straitened some of the front body support bars, ordered a new body from FFR painted and reassembled car. Absolutely no complaints.

Karl Bebout 02-23-2009 05:22 PM

Thanks Randy. Sounds like another shop to keep in mind. I talked to my insurance underwriter today and the estimator also came around to take lots of pictures. He said it would be at least a week before he could put some numbers together. We shall see.

Danr55 02-23-2009 06:31 PM

Good luck with that Karl. Tell him to hurry. You have to be back on the road by the end of March..

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 02-23-2009 08:38 PM

Not gonna happen Dan. My first estimate by a "normal" appraiser was $5600. That's when my insurance company sent out their "car guy" who used to own a build shop. His opinion was "have it fixed where you want, no restrictions, we just need an estimate from them before starting." Came to $28,000 and 7 months at Scott's Coachworks. When he came over the first time I was ready with printouts of for sale SPFs. About 15 of them off of Cobra Country. I also kept using those magic words "collector car".

By the way, I have comitted myself (bought tickets) for the afternoon show of "Cavalia" on that day as an anniversary present to my horse loving wife. They cost so much I'm not willing to give mine to one of her girlfriends. I'm going whether I like it or not!
