Karl had a little fender bender. Sure he will post what happened. Another thread kinda says it http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/arizona-cobras/94900-christopher-creek-lunch.html

Gordon Levy 02-21-2009 06:43 AM

Bummer Karl. It doesn't look to bad, mostly fiberglass. Give me a call if you want to talk over the damage.

Karl Bebout 02-21-2009 08:28 AM

Another one bites the dust. I couldn't see that there is any frame damage, just lotsa plastic. My insurance adjuster is coming out next week and I'm hoping he'll think its fixable. I've had the car almost 12 years and it is my baby, just doesn't look so good right now. As to how...I was getting up to speed on an entrance ramp to the 202 and when I shifted into 2nd, lost traction, did the fishy-fishy and took off out through the desert. Took out some flora and fauna and a tree or two. Fortunately, I missed the impending light pole and just suffered minor scratches, bumps and bruises. Lucky to walk away. There must have been some dust or light gravel in just the wrong place. ARGH!

Dave,

You beat me to it...

Karl, Will the folks at NAF produce another body for you? If so have them make wider rear fenders to fit your big sneakers. Also, Gordon is very good at this sort of repair. Remember Stud Finder.

Just talked to Pink, he wants to make sure the pony tail survived!

Karl Bebout 02-21-2009 06:52 PM

My pony tail is waving in the breeze, of course I had to get lots of palo verde leaves and cascia flowers out of it after Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

Karl, baby, I can't leave you alone for a minute! WOW, I am so sorry about your mishap. I know exactly what you are going through and will be for months. Your insurance appraiser is the gate keeper and must understand what your cobra means to you. You do have an agreed value, right? Keep using the words "collector car". Speaking from experience. 75% of agreed value in repairs is needed for a "total". General rule.

mikiec 02-21-2009 09:15 PM

Karl,

When you get it fixed replace the motor with an Iron Duke.

Mike

Karl Bebout 02-21-2009 09:30 PM

Iron Duke? What's that? Something to make the car go slower like a throttle stop or rev limiter?

Maricopa 02-21-2009 10:35 PM

Iron Duke? What's that?

Nice and heavy I think. Helps keep the car on the road.

Thank God about the hair escaping damage! ;)

vettestr 02-22-2009 07:44 AM
