Patrick, no that was not a 600 there lyes the problem, too much motor for the tranny. they said we could rebuild the current one but the old parts would maybe hold up for a while. Tremec is doing zero for me on this but I am having a new tremec 600/6speed put in, should be done next week.
I will say the guys at NO LIMITS are treating me quite fair, they reduced the bill a bit to get me down to that 4700 mark, they are also doing a rear main seal, adjusting the valves, new pan gasket, new header gaskets, clutch and pressure plate, trans shifter for the 6 speed, pretty much the works.
It should run better than it ever has and can take all the torque now along with better fuel mileage from the 6 speed.
Yes Karl I kept mine on the road and it is still costing me 5 grand!!!
It has made for a pretty crappy week all the way around because I really don't have this money to spend like every one else.
