Ne classic insurance

I WAS JUST DROPPED BY NE CLASSIC INSURANCE COMPANY AND IT WAS MIKE SMITH'S AGENCY THAT DROPPED ME AND MY DAYTONA...THEY ARE A LEVEL ONE INSURANCE AGENCY AND HAVE THE RIGHT OVER THE INSURANCE UNDERWRITER TO CANCEL YOU...I HAD A $21,000 ACCIDENT IN 2006, A $30 windshield claim in 2007 and a $760 window replacement in 2008.....Just want to remind you not to report your claims or they will drop you....I WAS...Dave

jwd 04-06-2009 10:05 AM

No offense but, do the math. $21,790 in claims in 3 years. Unless you were paying $600 a month for your policy, they were losing money on you. I would have expected to be canceled after the first claim and I certainly wouldn't have made the next 2 claims. They see you as a bad risk. Simple as that.

Dave,

I'm not taking sides and if I was, it wouldn't be with the insurance company. I was just pointing out how they look at it. I've never liked dealing with insurance companies but they are a necessary evil. Glad everything worked out for you.

Hey Dave, what are your claim plans for 2009??

Going to be tough to beat that '06 number...

Did you try the company that Karl and I use?

Karl Bebout 04-06-2009 03:05 PM

I am very satisfied with American Hobbyist. They handled my claim quickly, professionally, and fairly. They allowed me to buy the remains of my carcass for what they'd received as a salvage bid and now I'm having Jack Kube build a new body. He was the owner of NAF, who originally built my body, 'way back when, and he's even going to install my new body so he can maximze my leg and foot room. Hopefully, I should be back on the road well before fall.

davids 04-06-2009 05:40 PM

The company you use can't beat( $480 )for 500K 500K and 500K with 5000 medical an towing no deductible with $72K as the car cost Mulvy.

Karl Bebout 04-06-2009 06:18 PM

DaveS, that is a great rate and Condon Skelly have been around a long time. Must be OK. Maricopa, I've never claimed that anything other than me and a dose of bad luck and maybe too heavy of a right foot, caused my "mishap".

sparks 04-06-2009 06:37 PM

Dave,
That is very odd. I have NE Classic Serviced by Condon & Skelly and insured through Metropolitian. Sounds like I am paying a lot of Middle men. Glad everything worked out.

davids 04-06-2009 10:35 PM

Insurance Agent

David, I was with them "Met Life" few years back. Changed thinking I could save some money. I am renewing with my agent but told him some guys I knew were getting better rates and better coverage with CONDON AND SKELLY i.e. Snoopy Dog! Guess what; I am saving $300 a year by going back to them. :)
