Default Best Damn Trip To Costco EVER!

So I missed the Challenge between Phoenix and Tucson today because my family got back from vacation in San Carlos, Mexico (swine flu = over hyped stupidity in search of research dollars -- we had the entire huge resort to ourselves for the entire week) late last night and I had to take my folks to the airport smack dab during the challenge.

Between unpacking and trips to the airport, I was trying to figure out some way of driving the Cobra out in the hot 100 degree weather when my wife hints that she would like something more for Mother's Day than the vacation. Ding, ding, ding!

So I drive over to a not-so-near Costco and fight with all the other last minute husbands over the remaining roses all the while thinking that normally I hate going shopping but given a Cobra and an excuse, even going to the grocery store for dog food could be an adventure. Yes, it is hot. Yes, you have to put on sunscreen before you go and everyone out there is trying to kill you as they swerve around trying to get a better look at your wheels but when has a trip to Costco ever been this good????

What my wife said was, "Hon, can you go down to the store and pick up some milk?" , but what I heard was, "Take the Cobra out for a spin. Take your time."

Words never sounded so sweet.

Nice, warm and sunny all day today. The sun goes toward the horizon, and it's finally Cobra time!

I hear you, man. I hear you.

Doug, and you wife asks "why are you taking a cooler and ice?" - because the store you're buying milk at is 50 miles away - in the mountains with a lot of "twisty" roads. Enjoy!! (the only hills we have down here in Miami are bridges over canals). Rick
