Default Info on Artnz Cobra for possible purchase

i am looking at the Metallic Brown Arntz on Cobra Country ...
the third owner has her up for sale at what appears to be a very reasonable price ( second owner kept her well maintained for 25 years!)

http://www.cobracountry.com/cobra4sa...rntz/home.html

i am hopeful to get more feedback about these cobras. this one particular set up esp suspension pros/cons
my wife and i like the looks of this Cobra ( we've owned 2 others , Bob Peckam's one off F5 FIA and i just sold a SPF 427 )and with an auto she might even drive it too I wondered if others here had any insight into this particular builder and its set up ,i think it has a solid rear axle and that bothers me a bit as i would prefere the JAG IRS set up , can that be change out? if so at what expense? ( F5 was solid , SPF is IRS and we loved the way it felt on the roads) also would the IFS need to be replaced to improve handling?as a plus the fuel cell was replaced some 9 years ago with a conventional 20 gal tank

i am not a mechanic nor builder but do work with Lou's ,a great Cobra /Hot Rod, shop here in Denver that can keep her running right and strong ,I do not mind and i fully expect to put some $$ into her but i just want to know if i am getting into something i would need to put ALOT of $$ into so she would handle the mountain roads /curves etc in Colorado ( IFS & IRS at 4-5k each with labor?)

thanks for an and all insight/advice, Kevin 720 987 6864

first, your link doesn't work.
my first impression by the one small picture is it's not an Arntz
looks like a kellison or early west coast cobra. need to see other pictures to be sure

yep, i went to cobra country, it is a stallion (kellison) that is a wide bodied cobra. probably will hit the scales at about 3000 lbs.
it will have a 9" rear, and major surgery to put in the independent you wish for.
it is a good buy though.....the rear suspension is late 70's full size ford/lincoln. its a comfy cruising type car, not a road racer. will be mustang II front end
