Roy, it's great that all's well again! That is such a beautiful car.

Welcome to the Butler forum. Got any pictures of #58 that you can put in your gallery?

65 Blur

I got hundreds of photos. I have a scanner and a camera with a USB port. Give me a couple of days to read and understand the "how to show pics" procedure.
Sometimes I wonder where the other 99 Butler Builts are. I was fortunate to live only a few hours from Ron's shop in Goleta, so I got to talk to Ron and Bret often. I remember walking in one day and Bret was working on number 100. I think they were trying to
keep it at 2000 lbs! One day Ron told me he was retiring. I really liked the man. He used to come to work with his old style black metal lunch box. That trophy he was awarded for being the chief mechanic of the 66' Miles/Ruby roadster was in his office upstairs and he took my sons and I up there one day and showed it to us.
Awesome!

Love to hear those stories. I have not had the pleasure of meeting Ron, but have talked to him several times on the phone. He is very helpful and still loves to hear about his cars. His "retirement" doesn't seem to have slowed him down much - he is racing and still building custom cars.

Looking forward to seeing your pics - the proceedure is simple as long as you have saved them to a small enough file size.

Battery cut off switch in the trunk is a good thing.....along with locking the trunk. As additional protection, a "quick release" steering wheel will also deter the "Ferris Buehlers" of the world on their "Day Off."

Gives me great peace of mind, as one who spends a lot of time around teenagers.........................
