Question Speaking of Wipers

What's the general consensus........( opps forgot this forum is like it is! LOL re the number of wiper blades. 2 or 3 ?
Is wiper/screen coverage an issue or is it more about style ?

Not sure Rog, but it was determined by the State regulations, not style. Three seems overkill but that was the requirement in QLD. However, I have seen some with 2 and some with none!

I have three Rog

Lots of pics of various cars' wipers if you want them.

Check with your state / local engineer about the requirements. There is a superseded ADR that i cant access so i am not sure if it stipulated there, but the current ADR just says you have to have wipers that can be operated by the driver in the normal position and that you have to a have a squirter thats squirts into the wiper area.

Personally i prefer the look of 2. I am a long way off driving my cobra but will be avoiding wet weather driving at all costs. So to me i am more concerned with ADR approval and looks.

Or as some people have done... register it with an aero screen then fit a proper screen afterwards with whatever setup you like.

Also Rog if you get the wiper motor from Warwick - it is likely to be a Lucas-type motor. I have the wiring diagram for that. Took some time to figure out!

Cheers,

Merv

Thanks Merv, kinda trying to stay away from Lucas if I can....born & raised on Austin/Morris stuff when i was a kid. Want to try & use Jap if I can...infinitely more reliable and smaller in size usually.
That being said , if I HAVE to go to 3 wipers it might just have to Lucas. Will have to ask my engineer, and see what he says.

Rog,
Go with the Lucas wipers. We don't want to drive in the rain and the prince of darkness won't work in the rain so there'll be no problem.
