Default Cobras of Cairns!!

Q) How many Cobras does it take to bring Cairns traffic to a stand still?

A) Only 4!

Last Friday the local Cobras were nice enough to drive some year 12 grad students to their formals. Strangely enough all were girls and even stranger still all the girls actually took some interest in the Cobras which they were travelling in!

When the drivers asked the girls "where are their partners / how are their partners getting to the graduation" we all get the same simple answer, "WHO CARES . . I'M GOING IN A COBRA"!

When we picked them up, 2 of their hairdressers came down and warned us not to mess up the girls hair by driving to fast!! As soon as I drove onto the road this little year 12 kid looked at me and said "Bugger the hair, this thing is awsome, let's HOON"!

Every Japanese tourist in town seemed to jump out onto the road to take photos and the local police also took just enough interest to get me worried as well.

Living up here it is hard to get all the local Cobras together, so it was great just to drive 4 Cobras side by side down the highway. Great mates, Great cars and the wind in your hair.

Hey Wazza, see if any of these pictures bring back memories? I finally got to roll with TUF even if you weren't driving. Actually I thought you were the HOON, turns out the HOON is in the car, because it HOONS up here as well!

P.s> I promised myself I would not 'hot up' my Cobra untill I had some fun in here for a few years. Well the time has come and the engine is already out.

Modifications here we come.
Aussie Mike, mate, Gav and 3 others like this.

I also love the one with the yellow stripes...but I'm biased.
I miss her heaps, and love to see the occasional shot of her out and about.

Looks like Andrew is looking after her...thanks mate !

Zedn....if you want plenty of shots of the car...go to page 7 of my photo gallery, and work backwards.

Thanks again for the nice photos.

Just got home from Morgan Park raceway, where the Queensland club hired the track for the day.
Good turn out with a lot of beautiful Cobras and GT40s stretching their legs.

It would have been nice to have the car back for the weekend.

Cheers,
Warren.

Have you reversed the negatives--all the roll-bars are on the wrong side!

Seriously, very cool trunk mounted brake lights, are those required and where did you get them?l

Thanks,

Richard

Hi Cade
I am in Cairns and will send you a message. I have met 2 of the cobra owners up here since i brought mine up here las Nov. There is a car show on this weekend at showgrounds and might be one there? Mine is getting fixed at moment so is off the road but should be back on road 3 weeks or so....just as I leave for the States and Canada. But will be back Oct in time for the Side Show Alley Car show on 25 Oct at Convention centre.
