Now that's a combination that would attract a lot of Cobra enthusiasts from all over the country....The GP with a Cobra class concurrent to Shelbyfest!

Whovever is in the know or position to assess the possibility of this...I for one say go for it!!!

What a great concept this is: http://www.factoryfive.com/chalhome.html

Quite basic and relatively original cars with moderate hp and they really seem to do a great job!

There is one for sale in QLD http://www.my105.com/classified.asp?id=11693
if anyone is interested. It no longer meets class regulation/guidelines with 347, DDwebs and brake/tranny upgrade but would make a great track car.... Such an UGLY roll bar though.. Needs the GAS AXE taken to it IMO!

I have all the specs on this car plus its history and USA built owner if anyone was intersted. You'd get it for around $40K I'd assume.

About 5 weeks ago one of these cars was sold on this forum. Have lost the link, but remembered it was road registered, had a sh.t load of extras, had done only one meeting. Asking price was US$18,500!!!!!. Was gone before I could get the money ready.

In many ways these may be the last 'real ' Cobras? In terms of their purpose and design.

Last of the real "KIT" Cobras with a purpose of simplicity in build and excellence in performance. These cars are so much like a model car...all the bits are there !

Default Cobras

I have also heard rumours of a few 750HP dry sumped cobras coming down-under as well in the new year. That'd certainly challenge the FFR cars and make a great spectacle!

I always wonder how anyone could actually 'drive' a Cobra with that many HP? Mine probably has a third of that now and I find that to fully exploit that power is a challenge. Too see the FFR cars with about the same HP is interesting and suggests that they are a well balanced set up.

The FF challenge car is a great concept considering they have plenty of cheap donor cars in the US as well. Cheap, easy to build and mail order parts straight off the shelf with a race class all of it's own.

Now if only we had that down under......

Ticket booked to the GP already regardless of if there are cobra's there or not.

My bird in the US tells me this is looking more and more possible......

Hmmm! You watch Cobra sales increase if this happens... Good for the industry I reckon!

If FF (or someone) could come up with an Australian complient (complete) kit based on a single Australian donor vehicle then yes if not it's all too hard. I couldn't see people building cars for just track use here unless they were cheap.

But I do agree it would be worth going to see, bring it on I say.

Could this be? If so that is a great idea! These are so close to the real spirit of the Cobra.

Nope sorry Boxy and Merv.... Definately not FFR. I could have bought one already in Oz.....and it had been modified quite considerably from what NASA rules allow.....

I am doing something else.... Should debut in May "hopefully".

Based upon where Matt lives (and Wazza too) its bound to be a pimpin machine.

Plenty of bling - huge sub woofer and possibly furry dice

Hydraulic suspension no doubt

I reckon he's getting ready for a side attraction at the next Indy (Super Gp) (V8) Surfer's Event
