Not sure if the Cobra is, but the movie looks like it would be worth getting out for historical/histerical value alone...

That's an awesome find Dave. Thanks for posting it!

The Cobra certainly does look like the real deal, it's hard to believe the thrashing they gave it!

If only the owners of the Cobra and XY GT knew what these would have been fetching today, they'd have have probably used more Coronas instead!

How about the scene when it nearly got side swiped by the 323!

It's also such a shame that they'd torched a Charger for the film too!

Almost forgot. Gotta love our special breed of rednecks Downunder, especially at the 00.39 sec mark.

Cheers.

Steve.

I'm not sure whether to be more amazed by the cars, the fashion, the music or the quality script!

Far less HG panel vans than Cobras on the road these days. Thanks for sharing.

Default Nice find

Hey Boxhead,
Unbelievable find, featured many of the cars of my youth; except none of my mates owned a cobra or jag and my sister in law even had Jon Blakes kid lol. We've never heard of the movie, Jon's tale is very very sad actually, he suffered terrible brain damage and has been bed ridden and dependent on full time care since he crashed on the way home from filming 'The Light Horseman'.

Seems like there's going to be an unexplainable increase in demand down at video ezy for 'Running From The Gunns'

cheers

It was linked on a Chrysler website I hang around on (for the Charger) I nearly fell off my seat when I spotted the Cobra.

Cob 6043 was manufactured 1/12/1964 and sold to The Chester Garage. It was Vintage Green with a beige trim.

I read that too, but the description of COB6043 in the current Shelby World Registry doesn't bear that out. Doesn't even come close, really. I had a quick scan of all the other leaf-sprung COB/COX entries and none looks close to the car in the movie clip. Maybe the registration number (license plate) would give a clue, but I couldn't see it in the clip.
