Steering balljoint boots

Can anyone recommend a decent rubber boot for my steering knuckles. Jaguar joints. I've bought chinese REPCO boots and they crack and split after a few months. The cars not even on the road yet.

Cracking rubber boots seems to be a common occurance. Sometimes its caused by over filling with grease (the increased pressure makes them pop) or just crap rubber.

If your not worried about looks you might be able to use heaps of Cling wrap and rubber bands around the outside of the old boot. It would probably last longer. Then again its a Cobra so you probably are worried about looks right!

I've fitted three pairs...the first two were smeared with grease so I thought they had dried out. The last pair I put a decent amount of grease in and so far they have just cracked all round.....crap rubber.

There is a boot around that has a high Silica content great for heat and lubricants very durable ...can't recall where i got them as they are in plain poly bags....though I did by some very similar with a high silica content for my '02 HSV Coupe(they were nothing like the OEM's originally on the car)grey in colour and seemed a Sh!t load more durable!!!
I'll dig around for the original receipt on the others!!...
