Default All stickered up

After a late night last night and early start this morning, the Cobra is all cleaned up, stickered up and I dropped it off at the car show at the Casino.

Here are some pics of my car with stickers.

It was damn cold driving it into town at 8.00am this morning, just 5 degrees.

I got the same set Dave about 6 months ago. After a while though, the look wore off for me and I reduced the number of them. Now there are none. Seems a shame as they are a great product.

Thanks for the compliments.

The stickers will stay till later this year when teh car is striped for paint, then I will decide what I want to do.

Stripes will be painted with painted Rondells, that I know, stickers will most likely follow, and maybe a set of billboard 15's for daily use.

Stickers are fun! I've run them before, in various positions. Try some "team stripes" across one of the front fenders. I used different color duct tape for that, yellow, white, black. Usually two stripes, angled toward the rear of the car on the drivers front fender. Lot's of fun trying different looks for your ride.

You can buy the vinyl stick on stripes, but I like to use duct tape first to see what color and position look best. I've even used the duct tape at shows as well.

By the way, the E in a circle is used to indicate where on the car the fire extinguisher can be found, it's still in common use today on many different race cars.

I was not sure what the E was for (thought Battery E lectrical). But with teh sticker kit was a picture and I have laid out the stickers pretty much as per that pic, The only exception being the Castrol sticker should be on the door.

My black "team stripes" are black 100mph tape, the second one came up about 10mm short so I had to cut them both even.

Nah, no trophies, they put me in American Muscle class, and teh guy that one had a 1967 Mustang fastback with a whopping big supercharger and no bonnet.
It was much shinier than mine.

Thanks Mando, stickers where made up by a local company - I am sure any sticker/signwriter can do it.
I watched him making them on his PC, it was so easy, he just showed me a list of fonts, and that is the one I liked (for the 60's look)
