Know the car well. It's a twin rail RMC powered by a 289W.

Known as "The Mongrel". Competes in various hill climb events around Brissy. Considerable work has been done on the suspension and braking to get it to handle well.

Until recently used to be painted pink.

A mate has been doing heaps of body work on it to get the weight down. Carbon bonnet and boot lid are fairly recent additions, as is the black primer finish.

Here's a link to a vid of him at last years Speed on Tweed:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ao6hAO4X1sw

and another brief appearance of him at the same event.

Not a big horsepower car and the owner doesn't rev it hard. Achieves his quick times because of excellent braking and handling.

Yep, sure is rego'd Matt.

This refinish mate has driven it from the Southside over to the northside to his workshop and claims one has to behave on the road.

The car really has attitude and attracts a lot of unwanted attention.

Bit like your black car.

Pete, me thinks yours would not have been out of place. I've always said a cobra reflects the owner. Some are Gentleman cars ... some the opposite.

I'm sure you can read between the lines.

Compliment noted Les!

Just been out in the Cobra this afternoon - a rare event

Usual posing places - Valley / Paddington / Bulimba!

Quite ironic as we passed the Lambo Garage in the Valley - Jack say's wouldn't it be nice to own a real car!

As we pull up at the next lights a car full of women pull up beside us and shout out WHAT A CAR!

Jut goes to show a Cobra has its own special place in Aussie society

Saved me self $350k on a Lambo too

Someone should convince him to enter the Shannons Musclecar shoot out at Queensland Raceway last weekend in june. We still have spots available, and he would be racing with other cobras and GT40s.
