I know that the old days of seeing cars like Marty White's twin turbo Mustang hazing the tyres for 150 metres are long gone, but it's nice to see that at least the first 4 straight sections don't have any hay-bale chicanes.

I'll be there as a spectator.

Hi Oz. The Leyburn Sprints are a great weekend. So many great cars there. Have gone to them for years. The improvements to the road will be good for keeping down the massive dust bowl that usually develops! Not sure if I'll be on the 'track' this year as my motor is being upgraded right now. I will be there however if any help or encouragement is needed!

Cheers,

Run and won ---the perfect weather brought plenty of spectators to see over 200 entrants set new records on the resurfaced track.
The car displays saw a few genuine "barn finds" --amazing whats hiding in sheds around this area.
Our old Cobra progressed well, but not quite enough for Mark Crespans "1967 Ford AC Cobra" see Natsoft
The DRB GT40 was the crowd pleaser and came second in class to the Skelter

It is always great day there. I am sorry I had to miss it this year. Not so dusty this time eh?
