Motor
Liam,
I purchased my engine when the 6 Litres were very new ( nearly 3 years ago ) and got everything included, tranny, clutch, slave/master cylinders, fly wheel, power steering, A/C compressor all accessories, loom, ECU remapped and 12 Months OR 20,000K warranty delivered for $15.5k INC G.S.T.
you should be able to get it for under $12k now as you donr need the power streering or A/C stuff. And they are considered OLD

Yeah, thats about the value that i have put in the budget for it. I have spoken to some other suppliers since posting this and it seems there is a trend of people saying there isnt much around.
I think i will go with first price i got of 5.5k, i can get a box for about 2.5-3k and have been quoted $600 for a mapped ecu (2nd hand) plus a couple of hundred for a wiring kit that comes with all plugs, wire and instructions to make it my self. If i get out of it all for under $10k i will be laughing.

I purchased my LS1 and T56 from Eagle Auto in Melbourne. They were excellent to deal with, and gave 12 months warranty from the date i first started the engine which from memory was about 12 months after i paid for it. Wish i could say the same about my PCM and harness supplier. .

I paid what I considered top dollar at the time. I was simply naive Sideshow. The end product is now very workable, however I had to pay others as well as the the original supplier. My PCM came out of a Camaro.

camaro should still be ok
see every new holden ecu still comes from usa
so it has a usa base flash in it
this is ok but say u have an average aussie diagnostic scanner
well sometimes u have probs with overseas ecus
thats y we always convert the usa ecus to aussie vin numbers
and ive done some usa based ls1 engine harnesses and they are
bloody discusting
the aussie made ls1 harness looks so much nicer in std trim
there are more and more guys jumping on the band wagon and doing siumilar stuff to us
unfortunately i sound like an A holed on th ephone these days when ever someone asks for diagrams or info
i would say 70% of calls are for help me i tried to wire it myself and now im stuck well gets annoying after awhile so i just say bring it in now
