Hello from a NEWBIE
I would like to say hello to everyone, I have been watching from the sidelines for a while now and thought it was time to be a little more proactive and hopefully get some advice with my build as it progresses from everyone.
I am building a Robnell with a LS1 fitted ( yeah I know its taken some time to say that out loud ) but due to rego and emission requirements in VIC its the obvious choice.

Hi Kyle, Glad you got on here.
I'm looking forward to seeing more of your build up progress. We've got a few Robnels on here but none in build as far as I know.
Cheers

Thanks Mike,
I have pretty much everything to finish the car now but it has been a difficult process due to not being able to get any factory parts so I had to manufacture a fair amount of the car, but in a way that left me open to modify some areas. I spoke with a number of Robnell owners about what they did'nt like and tried to rectify some possible short comings e.g I have added power steering using an electric power steering pump hooked into the VSS, should help with any bump steer and more importantly make it easy to drive for the missus to pick up the groceries from coles. Also using the LS was a no brainer due to it weighs about as much as the manifold on the big block and I also was able to use the drive by wire feature from the c5 vette.

Thanks for popping in and saying hello.
Looks like a fun build, is it a rebuild or and older unfinished build?
And welcome along.

Welcome Kyle.
Don from Snakebite is building a Robnell in the RCR workshop, from what I saw last week it will be an awesome car.

Don's Robnell is extensively modified and will be a sensational car. The attention to detail is incredible.
You can ask Don about bump steer on the Robnell as well, he has measured it with our jig.
Got to love that Robnell body shape.
Welcome to the forum and please keep us updated with the progress on your build.

Hi Kyle
Funny I was cleaning out a few cupboards this week and came across a Robnell price list and brochure.......dated 1997. The back page has an interesting comparison of their car V's various exotic Euros, only a $1m+ Ferrari was quoted as quicker. A pitty Robnell is no longer, do you know what happened to them?
Goes to show i've been lusting for a while, there's also a scale model on my study desk that i bought about 20 years ago. I'm ready for rego soon so not long now........good luck with yours

Hi Craig,
Dons car sounds awesome, I'm glad that I am not the only one who has strayed a little from the norm with one of these, would love to see some pics, and with the bump steer I hope the changes I have made will eliminate it but until I actually get a chance to drive the beast I won't know.
By this time next week it should have a shiny new coat of lexus spectra blue.
I do have access to some left over bits and drawings so if you need anything give me a bell you might be pleasantly surprised.
Cheers

G'day byroncobra,
Good to hear from you all.
With regards to the resurrection of Robnell cobras, it is still on the cards apparently but with updated chassis design and an LS7 I expect, and to hazard a guess a carbon fibre style body (AWESOME), that seems to be the theme for the current owner of the Robnell moulds and associated bits he aquired. I have seen the product that Richard Bendell puts out with his Daytona's and I'm sure he will only improve on the Robnell design extensively, not only that he is a top bloke who helped me with my build to no end.
Cheers
