steve is 54, never been married, is partners in a industrial paint business servicing the coal mines. he does alright, the all up cost including conversion and everything was around the $175k au mark, paid cash. theres no gfc happening up here for anyone contracting to the coal mines, its obscene what some of my mates are making, but good luck to them. my other mate has just ordered a 4x4 toyota tundra v8 from the us, ticked all the boxes as well as getting it blown as well, should make nearly 500 ponies just to drive out to the mines, he got sick of his $120k landcruiser and gave it away to a friend. gotta love that.

Quite a very nice car indeed.
True on the GFC free area thing, a previous boss met me in blackwater one day and was amazed at all the young fellas driving nothing less than a SS or XR type car, oh, or an optioned prado. Another minesite has an Aston DB9 often there. And the odd Porsche in the car park too.
Saw an old GT 350 stang in Emerald today, wicked, sounded like the motor was a threshing machine waiting to unleash.

another little story steve told me, when shelby build these cars they program the computor to not turn on the supercharger untill the car has done about 15 miles, to stop the transport boys from lighting it up on the side of the road, and he was going around a corner giving it a bit when the whipple awoke, and he nearly lost it. he was laughing when he told me but im sure he wasnt at the time
