Default Performance Rotors

Any help on performance rotors for a Jag Series III front end.

DBA 076.

DBA can't help me other than waiting a month for them to slot up a pair.

What other manufacturer options have I got in Aus???

Thanks as usual

I got some rotors for my Skyline rear end from some mob I think called Ausbrake they seem ok but their machining tolerances left a little to be desired but were well priced considering. May be worth a shot.

Try RDA http://www.rdabrakes.com.au/index.php/home.html

I've used their rotors on the rear of mine and on all 4 corners of my Land Rover.

Cheers

Pete go see the blokes at BHSS in Capalaba, and speak to Rod Cooke.
Not only a nice bloke but a real car bloke too. I've been speaking to him re brakes for mine and I've found him really knowledgeable & helpful.
They do a lot of brake & clutch component fabrication. Rod appears to be a real think outside the square sort of fella. Bottom line line is I guess is that he will be doing all my brake & clutch stuff.

Thats what i have on mine. My local shop ordered them in for me and they arrived the same day. Look to be good quality. I cant comment on performance as the car doesnt go yet but i am happy with them so far. From memory they were around about $600 ish for the 4. This may be mates rates as i know the guy.

Thanks guys

Problem solved...............

Spoke direct with RDA and they put me onto BHSS who will slot a standard pair for me.

RDA service excellent.

Tip for any new builds using early Jag brakes - your standard size disc options are limited

You can have RDA/EBC ventilated slotted and dimpled, or DBA slotted (not sure about cross drilled), or you can switch to Wilwood and go with a 2 piece set up with just about any disc you want. What other other options would you want?

Your car is looking brilliant Mike. A real 'test bed' for many new designs as well. Have you had it out on the track as yet to see how that suspension geometry works?

Not often I find time to sit on the Garage Floor and play around with the Cobra.

RDA slotted rotors and a tin of paint. EBC Red stuffs to be fitted when I next find time in the Shed

Looks Good Pete! I'm hoping to get some more shed time myself now.

Merv, I haven't run the new suspension yet. I'm keen to see how it goes (a little nervous too). Wit moving house and everything else that's been going on I hardly even touched the Cobra in the last six months. It's a bit depressing but I'm looking forward to getting back in to it in the coming months. I finally moved the Cobra into the new shed this weekend.

Cheers

Mike, does it look small in all that space?

I'm sure it will go really well Mike. Sometimes life just gets in the way ... for a while.

Yep, Red definitely stop better. I had red ones on mine initially and it never even moved out of the shed. How's that for stopping power!

These brakes are now on Bobby Brown's G Force.

Cheers

I was looking at it thinking how nice it will be working on it with all that room around it. My old shed was so messy and full of junk (as you've seen first hand) that it could be a pain to work on stuff.

Cheers
