Default Jaguar/ Dana 44 Drive shafts...... Help !

Can anyone out there tell me if you can get 30 spline drive shafts that will slip into a series 1 Jaguar lsd IRS with a 3;54 ratio. I want to put a truetrac locker or similar helical locker in, replacing the standard lsd arrangement. I have 19 spline drive shafts in which I assume is standard.
There may be some shops that offer aftermarket shafts ( here or USA) that will suit the old Salisbury !!
There are no Eaton or Detroit truetrac products in a 19 spline that I can tell hence this call for help.

Cheers
Chris L

I should mention that these drive shafts are the INNER units.......the ones that exit each side of the diff, NOT the units that are splined in the cast hubs to the wheels. Im basically chasinig a 30 spline conversion so I can open up my options to a locking centre.

Cheers

I have a series 1 Salisbury Jaguar lsd diff and it has a 19 spline set up and a 3;54 ratio. I only wish to change the spline teeth and diameter/bearings if thats possible.
Maybe there is a custom shop that may specialise in a request like this, need some answers in a hurry.......thanks in advance.

Hi Chris,

Can I ask why you are looking at upgrading to 30 spline axles? Are you drag racing your car or is it a Track build. I notice that a lot of the Guys here in Australia are running 19 spline axles with reasonably high HP. At 1100 or so Kilos in weight you would have to "treating her rough" to break anything.
Having said that... have a look here - http://www.reiderracing.com/

Fair enough Fellas, I did not realise how rare the request was. The left side shafts spline is slightly damaged, its probably ok but whilst everything is apart, its something I dont want to go through again. I figured swapping to 30 spline would open up a wide range of locker options for the centre.

It seems I will stick with the 19 spline, get them re-done and look at a detroit soft locker to suit. The car is not a high hp set up at present , but that will most likely change as we start on a new motor. I do intend to work it hard at some track days. The arse will have to be solid as it will be dealing with around 600 hp courtesy of a stroked Dart block with Yates heads and cross ram injection. Just trying to figure out how to pay for it all !!.

Cheers
Chris

Hi Chris,

Not sure if you've look at the following URL but they have a couple of options for 19 spline diffs (DANA 44s) that might be of use. Be careful though, as far as I can undertstand you'll need different (possibly custom) bearings and stuff (crown wheel bolt sizes too if I recall) as I think there are slight differences between the jag and dana specs. Also if you avoid the crown wheel bolt issue by buying dana gears I think the pinion bearing is a different size too but again I've only had a cursory look a couple of months back, others may have more/better info on what bolts in and what doesn't.
