Hi Mando, love your car, i want the LS7, but i'd like to try and keep with a bit of a nostalgia look to the engine, hence considering a dual carb (throttle body) look, radiator header tank etc. doesnt appear to be too many manifolds to suit though, found a few singles however.

Been reading up on the commodore sites as well, looks like 3.7 is a prefered ratio as Gregg says,

Speaking to Ian Denner, the lead time on the bits is about 8~12 weeks, time to send the cheque.

Gregg, others, couldnt find the ozwheels web site, any body got any new links, i found the address on the web, Minchinbury NSW, just looking for wheel details.

pneall, i was thinking to go AP brakes, as you said, prices appear to have dropped significantly,

Anybody got any thoughts about shifter posistion on the t56, i saw a mod at CR that moves it closer to the bell a foot or so.

Gregg, your welcome to come for a run anytime, we are in the middle of the Bunyip State Forrest, once i get the chassis / Body, we can have a "first bolt" gathering, then a beer and bbq.

Really cant go wrong with a classic revival - As an Australian kit I think its one of the better ones, not perfect (none are), but pretty good.

Not wanting to hijack, but I do like the look of the Mark IV Factory Five. Was never a fan of the old body, but the new shape looks awesome. With the dollar at 94c, I would be looking at that if I was starting again right now.

Heres the new FF:

(Do reckon the roll bar looks too upright though)

Hi Dave,
Congratuations on your purchase.

I have the same as PNeall and went with the Koni shocks, yes a bit pricey at $800.00 a corner but are a much better shock than the AVOs.

Were you looking at an unfinished kit CR in Warrugal?

Phil

Welcome Dave to the world of Cobras. You will love it!

If I was in your shoes I would get a wrecked VE and bolt everything in. You can always go 427 stroker later.

I think my AVO's are stuffed too, might have to see what I can do after the Nationals.

Ben

My Koni's turn 20 next year ... be gentle with them and they'll last quite a while

HI Dave,
I bought an unfinished CR, older style from a guy in Warrugal only a week ago.

Merv, I am using these shocks.

Hey Matt,
Yep, it will be a race car. All the go fast bits off my car but hopefully about 400KG lighter.

The plan is to do abit more racing without destroying my car.

Phil

I think my car is heavy because it has a real paint job.
