Default New ford easy to tune ecu

Anyone who owns an old ford donk and want to go efi
Or anyone with xr8 ford motor but is fed up with very
Limited tuning capabilities well we have developed a very
Easy to tune system
If u have a dizzy style five litre and sick of the ford ecu
Then we have the solution
We have tested this on a holden five litre and works well
So no reason it would not work on ford motor as they all
Have same principle

And I just got a new A9L Jim! How is this new system better than tuning (Quarter Horse) or chipping the A9L?

Im suprised that the megasquirt doesnt get much of run in Australia. Cheap, easy to build and has a huge amount of tuning capability. Sideshow have you guys seen the megasquirts before?

i got put down on the lexus forums for writing something bout megasquirt
here is the deal
if u have alot of time and u kno whow to diagnose stuff then build yrself a megasquirt
read the forums spend days even weeks researching it
then build it and make sure u solder properly
or buy prebuilt one
now wire it up and sort the niggly probs

if u dont have time or not to good on diagnosing then buy a microtech
megasquirt is a build yr own and tune yr own ecu
so if u understand that by all means buy one

i run a shop and if i told a cusotmer its 1000 dollars to build and wire a megasquirt
thats ok then i wil say it migh tbe another 1000 bucks to get it running thats what kills it
me as a shop cannot afford somehting i cannot give warranty on
if i buy an ecu form someone else and if fails i send it right back
if negasquirt fails then i have to resolder all the stuff or see where i fkt up
anyway its a good ecu no diff to microtech i guess but u have to sort the problems out yrself
so y would i bother when i can buy somehting for bit more wire it and it will start first go
then i say here take it to tuners i get paid see ya later
its aimed at backyarders thats y its so popular only on forums

anyway justin has done a****load of research and testing and he has gotten an ls1 ecu to run on a vs 5lt v8 with a dizzy and single coil and spark plug leads and dizzy cap
so u dont need 8 coils
so basically we can set this up on most of ford or holden v8s
and most of the times it wont break the bank
so any v8 with a dizzy
and a tps most tps are 0 to 5 volts
coolant temp sensor piss easy to fit
idle motor needs holdenb 4 wire but can leave out if too hard to fit
we r working on an easy fittment of these
single coil can be anyhting but need to use ignitor too
but we have found if we use an ls1 coil just one
it has inbuilt ignitor so few less wiring and parts to work with

anyway the ls1 shots on nealry evry ecu out there when it comes to ease of tuning
and amount of tuners out there
sorry cant give out too much info as i dont htink anyone has done it locally
so if anyone is interested please send us an email

we can fit it to yr motor complete driv ein drive out
we can also sort out fitment to old carby v8 as we can do manifold setups too with fitment of injectors and fuel rails etc etc

I totally agree, if a customer is going to pay you to build and tune it its a waste of money. Just interested to know if you had played around on the side with one. Dont worry, im not going to put you down for having an opinion on it. To most it is not worth it, but i found it really fun to build and play around with and learnt a lot about engine management in the process. I was a uni student at the time so had spare time to read the massive manual that goes with it.

I built one for an old Z31 300zx Turbo. It was pretty easy to assemble, and with the stimulator pretty easy to get going. Now the real skill is being able to tune it properly (however there are a lot of base tunes floating around for different motors). I would say not possible for complying with emmissions, but good fun to play around with for an older motor.

Sorry to interupt the thread.

thats is good
i love pulling things apart and learning how they work and stuff like that
its a very good feeling when u spend all this time building the ecu and then fit it and wire it and then get motor running this is the feleing i get each time i start a motor for first time after wiring it up in the conversion
sometimes i do 2 to 3 a week
anyway i havnt really had time to build stuf flike that
i did used to do some jaycar stuff but sometimes they would not work so i gave up
these days i got 2 kids under 2 years old and dont get much time to play with cars outside of work

i now have a 1200 dollar remote control buggy that will do around 60 mph if geared right
so i take that and the kids to park on weekends for some fun
im over cars and customers heheheheeheheheehhe
