I'm driving up with a mate in my turbocharged hairdresser's car. Will probably meet the group in Templestowe at 7am.
Perfect racing weather for tomorrow/Sunday, 22 & 24 degrees and sunny.

Happy to hear the weather should be good.
I can almost hear the side pipes from my place

Sorry you will miss the days. I am only doing the Saturday though.
That's not the side pipes you can here from your place it's your "Brothers" and their tractors building a sacred site..

Too much sunlight outside right now for that Bernie.

ShelbyFest 2011 - Nothing broke (me and the Cobra that is)
Firstly - a huge thankyou to Tony and Jason and all who assisted in making it a great weekend - my first (of many I reckon).
Great fun was had by all.
(My) Highlights:
1. Nearly spun out on 3rd corner on first lap – cold tyres, cold track, inexperienced driver (soiled undies).
2. Beat a Supercharged Cobra in the ¼ mile "S" drag
3. Beat a GT40 in my best Lap time.
4. Overtook a car and changed into 5th instead of 3rd gear coming into the corner and they then over took me on the next straight.
Overall the car went brilliantly, no overheating, braked straight, cornered well, accelerated well.
I'm hooked.
Currently building my list of minor mods for next year. (Better tyres, adjust brake bias towards front more as rears did too much work), and a slight little engine tune.
(I reckon the first photo with the sunrise should have that Top Gun music playing - it just reminds me of the opening scene when all is quiet on the carrier)
Thanks
Rgds
Gregg

Thanks guys for putting on another great event. I had a ball and knocked a few seconds off my best times.
Pity the practice day before wasn't as fun.......! My little kiss of the wall is going to cost a bit to fix. Lucky it was slow speed and no structural damage.
Congrats to Ash for his amazing times on a new track.
Phil M, Gav and Brett J also did really well.
Cheers,
Ben
