In our neck of the woods the fans are fine because they're right up in the nose but the quickjacks are a no-no. Your going to love them Boxhead, as you take of from a standing start they just start turning slowly then pick up speed as the car does. I've mounted the fans on 1 bar instead of 2 because I didn't like the look of the 2nd bar cutting the nose in half.
Regards.

No worries Baz, Road freight from Sydney to Alice is generally a full working week.
So I reckon I will see it maybe Tuesday/Wednesday.
Cheers again.

That's great news Dave. I'm glad they arrived in one piece. I really couldn't see how they could get damaged with the amount of bubble wrap I packed them in.
Talk to me about postage. Did they increase the cost because of the strange parcel shape? If not, let me know and I will send you a cheque foer the balance.
I want some pics when they are fitted into the nose.

Bolt them on the back and they'll be just the ticket when the flood waters hit the Alice.

Talking of floods in Alice, although nothing like what QLD is copping.
Last year we where 12mm short of a new record for rainfall in recorded history, and so far this year as of midnight 10/01/2011 we where 18mm short of total rainfall for all of 2009.
So far for 2011 the Todd river has flowed twice already, and we are expecting 100mm of rain (that is a bucket load out here) over the next 40 hours and the river will be flowing again.

I had some new lights turn up today, these should go well with the twin fan setups.

No less legal than mass flow efi on a 5.0 windsor with trickflow heads a cam and rockers that has not been emission tested, or sidepipes on the east coast.
Or dash mounted mirrors, or no crash pad on dash top, or no cover over sunvisors, or chrome dash gauge surounds, or polished alloy steering wheels etc etc.

Christ Dave, you sound like a NSW RTA Inspector.
By the way, has the cheque arrived yet?

Just over naisayers Baz, yep Cheque arrived thanks.
Dont want to walk away from CC as it is a great resource and building tool, and I like assisting where I can.
But not as pleasant a place as it used to be. Too much negativity, all over a toy (an expensive one, but still a toy at the end of the day)
I trial fitted the fans this morning while I swapped out the headlights, looks like they will be fairly easy to fit in there, I will just
need to weld in some steel to mount the bars too.

I was interested to see if their status had actually changed. Thanks for that.
Point taken about the visors, dash mirrors, etc. By the way, I was officially advised by QLD Transport that the "mass flow efi on a 5.0 windsor with trickflow heads a cam and rockers that has not been emission tested", is just fine and did not need re-inspection when I formally enquired. Also, my alloy steering wheel was fully approved by engineering and QT. May be different in others states and territories.

Same as chrome dash gauge surounds mine was passed in QLD with these fitted as was the polished steering wheel. I was told these lights would not be legal in QLD maybe they have changed the rules?

I love those lights Boxhead, I'm hoping I get through without having to change them for legal ones!
