Default Twin Thermo Fans for Sale.

These are brand new twin thermo pusher fans with mounting brackets and wiring. Never been used. Won't fit in the nose of my R.M.C. because of the acute angle that the radiator is mounted at. Bugger. I love the look too.

Paid $275. Will sell for $200 + freight if necessary from Sydney location. Pickup can be arranged.

I also have a low mileage 2007 HSV 6 litre LS2 Grange for sale if anyone is interested in a great car.

Baz, are these the fans like finishline sells?

If so I may be keen, but will need to sharpen your pencil.

Yes Dave.. They are the same. I am quite disappointed that they don't fit my RMC as I love the look.

These are nice Baz (I hope that Dave buys them) but I was wondering, in case I order some others, do they restrict air flow, being in front of the radiator?

Hi Merv,

I have read every thread relating to these fans and it appears that providing you mount them correctly, with the motors to the front of the car and the fans closest to the radiator, they work fine and don't impede air flow. They are actually designed to suck the air into the nose. A fair majority of owners who have them fitted, wire them up separately to their normal large fan so they can switch them on at will.

In my opinion, their major attraction is 'appearance.' I reckon they look tough and am disappointed that they won't fit my RMC. They work best with a vertically mounted radiator e.g. Classic Revival.

Yep I want some mainly for the look, in my case they will be wired paralel to current big commonwhore fan, with a manual override.
once all fitted and working I might "test" how well they work by unpluging the big fan, if good I might think about removing the commonwhore one, for a tidier engine bay.

Is someone selling a pencil? 2B or not 2B: that is the question...

Seriously though, I was talking to a guy in the US with them on his car. He has an EFI engine with datalogging, and the best he could tell by driving the same section of road was that installing pusher fans made his engine run about 5 degrees F hotter. By managing/minimising the airflow that went around the radiator (ie: sealing the radiator to the bodywork), not only did he get that 5 degrees back, but the car ran a few degrees cooler than the base numbers.

Yep. In NSW you need a guard over the fans, a grille over the radiator, a risk assessment form, some personal protection equipment (fluorescent orange of course ) and then you must apply all of the above to open the door !

In our neck of the woods the fans are fine because they're right up in the nose but the quickjacks are a no-no. Your going to love them Boxhead, as you take of from a standing start they just start turning slowly then pick up speed as the car does. I've mounted the fans on 1 bar instead of 2 because I didn't like the look of the 2nd bar cutting the nose in half.

Regards.
