Intro....

Hi folks,

I've been lurking for a little while now and I figure that this is as good a time as any to introduce myself.

After lusting after cobras for as long as I can remember, two months ago I took the plunge and bought a DRB which was first registered in '03 with full engineer documentation. The build is very basic, and I mean basic, as the previous owner didn't have any previous experience. And that is evident. I have some custom experience having built a few bikes (VMax's) in the recent past and I've also had many v8's and 'ground-up' basic perfomance cars (from Datsuns to Subaru's to an M3 and others).

I wanted to buy a cobra which was already registered to not have the hastle of Vicroads and engineers etc, and I ultimately would like to end up with an old school build (not so much a replica), so this little jigger should do nicely.

So here I am, starting to make plans for the machine. I am fortunate that I have a ford wiz that will take care of the engine and drivetrain... Looks like we will stroke the 302W to 347 with the usual mods with the veiw to about 350 to 400 hp. There are a whole swag of other ideas but I have decided to do the paint last.. And that is where I am at.
