Default Superformance - Cobra Technology Center

All,

I had posted earlier in regards to questions about turnkey cars. I have noticed that there was a dealer for Superformace cars in Australia "Cobra Technology Center".

They appear to have gone out of business or vanished as the phone numbers and website are disconnected.

I have sent a couple of emails to Superformance but have not had any replies. I have called their US number and one of the guys who turns out to be from "Hillbank USA" said the send him an email and he would get back with more info, and again I have heard nothing. He did mention on the phone that a car is about USD$42k but the car though them would have to be shipped from South Africa to the US and back to Australia?

From all the information I have read regarding car importation, I don't see a scheme under which one could actually be imported?

I did however noticed this car:

http://http://marksworkshop.com.au/P...LS%20COBRA.htm

I rang the workshop that fitted the engine and they are sure the car came through the Cobra Technology Center.

So, any ideas on who you could now order one of these for Australia.

Zolt.

Zolt........surprised no response to your enquiry.

There's certainly a few Superformances around Aus......not many though with all the compliance dramas with importing.

Try a search on this Aussie forum and see what turns up. CTC was mentioned on a post 12 months ago, don't know what's happened to them though, hang in there someone will

Hi Zolt,

The youtube link did not work for me, but I'm 99.99% sure that it's my Cobra that you would have been looking at if it was the Mark's Workshop Superformance LS7 install.

I have been very happy with the Superformance car...very high quality and all in all good value for money if you're looking for a turn key car.

I'd be very happy to have a chat about the Superformance Cobras if you like - just send me a PM with your telephone number and I'll give you a call!

Regards.....Paul

A freind of mine used to have a Superformance car with a 347 windsor (yes you Doc) and it was a fantastic car to drive. No rattles, bumps or squeeks, it was like a new car.

Default Spgt40

I actually approached/spoke to CTC several times about 2 years ago after being introduced to them by Cam P (SP Cobra owner - now sold). I was interested in buying a GT40 and as one had been bought by a fella on the Gold Coast an inspection was to be arranged and then discussions held thereafter.

Never heard from CTC again although I did see the car by default at the Nats 2009 from memory. Funny sales technique but I suppose they get lots of tyre kickers... Dunno. The next tyre kicker could be your next sale IMO.

Anyways, I went in another direction as it turns out.

He is still trying to decide what new toy to get, not sure when he will take the plunge though.

CTC are still alive and kicking. I called and spoke to Keith today...
He has been very helpful to this tyre kicker.

Thanks for your time Keith!

Cheers,
