Some very fast times there, well done guys.

I wonder if Jason has the time or inclination to look up the past years results and see what the fastest ever lap time has been for each class in Shelbyfest history. It seems like the times get quicker each year.

Would be interesting to see if the old times from the QLD guys etc from years past still hold up, Cameron P, John W, Warren B etc.

all the past times from 2005 onwards was listed in the Shelbyfest Newsletter.
I have no time at the moment to pull the info and post it.
I'm sure someone out there will post a few laptimes from times gone by.

I have to say that I missed being there -particularly the catch up with interstate brethren which I regard as a highlight of events like ShelbyFest and the Nationals.

And of course my annual tutorial on cornering technique from following you and REPTYL around.

This year the weekend coincided with the lad's 7th, our 16th and the niece's 21st - not to mention the cobra being on a hoist somewhere having new headers made up - the construction having been pushed back a couple of times.

Hopefully I'll be well placed for the Nationals and can set out after you.

Well yes, at the rear wheels is another story and I'm not sure why I thought the tremec was an auto!

Were there many L98/LS2/LS3/LS7 powered cars in the mix?

Were the overall champion tally different from last year?
Interested to see how that was calculated.

I think I knocked off almost 5 seconds from last year, managed a 1.43.0 in the supersprint.

BEN Gosper, NSW, Classic Revival, LS1, T56, Hankook RSRs, 1 headlight.

Phil
10 points for the fastest in the sprints down to 1 point for the 10th fastest.
same for the drags, DYO and Regularity.
10 points down to 6 points for the top 5 in the shootout, then the 6th to 10th fastest that were eliminated got the 5 to 1 points.
Sunday motokarna was 10 points down to 1.
The mokokarna shootout was scored the same as the Saturday Shootout.
1 Extra point was given to competitors who entered both days events.
In case of a tied score the person who scored points in the most events got the place. If both scored in the same number of events the fastest lap time from Saturday was used.

Thanks Modena.

Ben, nice work. A few guys with big improvements in time from last year.

Thanks Phil, thought someone else would have gone faster than John W. by now. In saying that, I certainly don't have the skill to do it.

Wish I could have made it this year.

Well done Benny, I don't think I would have been able to continue after Fridays disasterous outing.
You are a top competitor.

Maybe your times improved due to the reduction in vehicle mass?
