Silver or Gold?

I solved the problem of the rear tyres touching the guards......

17" rims with 45 series tyres, I needed spacers for the front to stop THEM rubbing though.

What do you reccon, gold or silver wheels?

Actually I've got new 245/45x16 tyres to fit the Halibrand lookalikes on the way, fingers crossed that with a lower profile than the old 55's that all will be shweet.

Very Ricey.

I actually dont mind them, always been one of my favorite mag styles.

REPTYL 06-15-2011 06:33 PM

don't like the shallow dish look of the gold rims.

I also think the Silver/gold contrast does't work as well as the Halibrands in the second photo.
IMHO:)

Might look good in black with a red pinstripe on the rim.

Cheers

Krait 06-15-2011 07:04 PM

Greg,

The polished finish is the way to go.

Cheers

Dimis 06-15-2011 07:05 PM

YOU already KNOW the silver looks way better...

Now don't make me come over there... :p

Merv and Sharon 06-15-2011 07:10 PM

I'd go with smaller tires, Gold might still work...

Yeah Dimis, I was just fishin'........goes to show we're all a little different. Can't beat the deep dish I reccon.

Waiting for Matt to chime in, the goldies are off one of his past rides. I believe it was a black monster.

*13*. Love the hilux look, wouldn't the RTA have fun with that.

Gaz64 06-16-2011 03:58 AM

I'd say the Halibrands, the only wheel to run.

Zedn 06-16-2011 04:29 AM

Put those back on the skyline you pinched them from.

Just kidding. I believe only the owner of the car can make such a personal decision.

Tenrocca 06-16-2011 05:29 AM

I think Spook had some gold wheels like that and he put spinners on them. It looked awesome.

Aedds 06-16-2011 06:30 AM

Definitely the silver!

spookypt 06-16-2011 04:31 PM

I'm biased!!! :-)

Car looks great!

Tenrocca 06-16-2011 06:25 PM

For those unable to detect my irony - this is the only style of vehicle what suits those wheels:

Take a bex, have a good lie down and put the silver ones back on when you come to your senses.

Yep, totally agree. Temporary exemption may be granted for track days, conditional on vehicle to be trailered to/from track under a full tarp. :3DSMILE:

Gav 06-16-2011 10:00 PM

Are you the style police Sambo?

sambo 06-16-2011 10:07 PM

Certainly not Gav.
