So Hopalong, hows that leg of yours? I've got an appointment with motor vehicles on friday 26th of this month for my inspection. I've still got a short list of jobs to do such as fitting the dash crash pad and putting some black tape around the windscreen and gauges. The biggest job that needs to be done is to change the gear wheel to the wiper motor. At the moment the wipers only sweep about half way.
Hope all goes well with your surgery and recovery and hope to catch up next time your in town.

Regards.

Default Interesting requirements

Thanks Mando

Have to say the cast and crutches are already pissing me off and I don't go in for surgery until tomorrow! The next 6 or so weeks in going to be murder, let along the recovery post this phase. Just have to suck it in I guess.

Now I noted you talked about blackening shiny bits, that ADR on reflective coatings was repealed even before I had finished my car so why is it an issue for your build? I'd press the engineer on this one.

On the dash pad, I borrowed one for engineering but it fell off, though I have since permanently aquired the same one. My mate that I borrowed it off had to sell his cobra post divorce.

As to the wipers, yes they do need to fully sweep though this is somewhat laughable in arid SA. But then you wouldn't want to be caught driving in rain with only a half sweep, for your own safety's sake!

Just so long as you can get to the wiper and know what angle of sweep you need, the actual modification would be a piece of cake for your engineering contact.

Hope you a travelling well.

Cheers

Steve
