Thanks Craig,
I look forward to seeing how the TKO feels behind the LS3, all part of the old school appeal.
Things get easier the 2nd or should I say 4th time round.
Phil

I was thinking about the Smiths gauges when I was building, but the double cost was an issue at the time and I went with Classic Instruments as they had a huge range:
Classic Instruments Gauges from egauges.com
A very nice product, but in hindsight the Smiths are the way to go for originality.

Gday Phil,
This build is certainly raising the bar.
That steering wheel looks like a nice piece, i haven't seen those before. Keep the updates coming.
Cheers.

Orphan or fugitive
Things have been delayed with the Orphan but hopefully the painted body will be back on the chassis next week.
Here are some pics of the completed intake system.

Phil,
really enjoying your build, great ideas and finish.
Is the cap on the header a pressure relief type, or do you have a pressure relief somewhere else in the cooling system?
I'm assuming thats one of Shaun's radiators and tanks going from the TIG finish,
Dave

Phil,
Did you custom make the drive belt pulleys, or are they an off the shelf item, looks so much neater than the surp belt, also the waterpump is a great find for mounting the header, i assume no power steering, looks so neat and tidy, love it.
Do you have to mod the firewall to fit the inlet tubing?
Dave

Hi Dave,
The pulleys are a sbc kit with some slight machining to make them fit.
I started with the crank pulley and custom harmonic balancer. Then milled the rear of the pump to suit then mounted the alternator.
There is an option to change the crank pulley to one with a v belt at the back and mount the powersteering pump low down.
Yes the firewayy is notched, you cannot really notice it. the dash hides most of it
the whole thing could have been so much simpler if it were mafless but this keeps it all emission complient.
Phil

HI Mike,
Yes that is for Grover, he now has a an Andra approved roll cage, reworked front suspension, a backbone stiffener and the engine cradle remade.
Needed something to do while waiting for the painter.

I wish I had too much time. Always some other insignificant job to do like fix a leaking roof at mums place or removing a bath at dads place. Parents revenge.
