Hi Rob,
The side pipes are live and have a 4 inch cat and then a hotdog style muffler inside.

They are surprisingly quite but the pipes will be disconnected for street use and the under body exhaust will be installed.

Phil

Is it possible to run a muffler underbody, then curve back to go through the side pipes? Also what are your specs for the rear wheels?

HI Jaydee,
The wheels are 15 x 8 Team 3 wheels.

The front face is the minimum they can do, they are not a bolt on fit, took some effort to get them to fit.

I think the illusion of dish on the rear works.

Phil

Default Test Drive

Took the Orphan for its first drive today.

Video is a bit crap but it is the first drive.

IMG 1869 - YouTube

Off to the trimmers in a week or so for some carpets and door trims, then it is finished, well display trim only.

I will be taking it to the nationals and will enter it in the show and shine.

I will place an add for sale once the trim is done and will start the engineering process.

Phil

Outstanding Phil...she's wicked...great job.

My trimmer just told me Friday, that the German leather is held up, and won't be here for another two weeks...so NOT ready for the Nationals.

Hopefully all done and registered in time for the Cooma Run in November.
See you at the Nats.
Cheers,
Warren.

Hey Phil,
It's actually the FOURTH Nats that I had planned to turn up with it.....should all be done and registered by the end of October.
Planning to take part in the Cooma run, but got told this morning that I may not be aloud to.

Open heart surgery the week after the Nats will take longer than I thought, according to my trimmer who's been through it as well.

I'll see how I go.
I'll need to give the Nationals a red hot go, just in case I'm out for a while.
Cheers,
Warren

Orphan is Brilliant...almost wish I had saved up some more and waited, but then again, I am happy for now...and whoever adopts the Orphan for the appropriate fee will be a very happy parent.

Another credit to you fella!

Default Time Flies

Well the Orphan is getting very close to registration.

Passed the final noise test on Sunday and with a few small issues to sort and a final emissions test should see it ready for a vin.

Treeve is brilliant, the saviour of Kit cars in NSW. His set up is awesome, great gadgets and Cudal airport, well I will I had a hour on my own with no one looking

So very soon the Orphan will be offered for sale. I am being realistic with the price and if there is any interest please contact me privately or on 0422 612 210.

Thanks

Phil

e-clip, Made a mistake visiting this thread.
I've got the Orphan I bought from Phil a couple of years ago. Still enjoying it. It's still a thrill every time I open the shed door and see it looking at me. Such a well made car it's a credit to him. Mark
