In automater gauges they have 4 or 5 different resistances
In the gauges to suit different factory old and new USA cars
Vdo only have afew
U need a matching gauge and sender for it to read right
I would speak to an instrument guy maybe has had a circuit
Like maybe a capacitor or similar to slow the signal so fuel gauge
Doesn't move erratically
But I've never really had customers complain bout this issue
Main thing I see is mismatched sender and gauge
