Default Auto One Classic Car Show - Whiteman park - 50 years of Cobra

Hello fellow members,

For those of us in WA the biggest event on the Cobra calendar is coming up this Sunday. The WA chapter is planning a huge weekend and looking to take out "club of the show" with our presentation of Cobras.

For anyone that's going to be in region we'll look forward to seeing you out there on Sunday. Entry is free and there should be around 50 clubs attending and well over 1000 cars.

It's a place holder for now, but I'll upload photos from the weekend that should be worth waiting for!

Well the event went off without a hitch.

The gang started arriving around 3pm on the Saturday to assemble the cars and get the displays ready for the Sunday morning. Once we'd pitched our tents and started preparing the BBQ dinner we had a couple of showers of rain which continued throughout the evening.

Lucky we had Precilla there to shelter us from the elements. There were a couple of sherberts and some great laughs with the Sheriff (Miles) taking care of security for the evening.

We awoke to an overcast morning but the rain had cleared and by 9am when the show opened it was brilliant sunshine.

The club had 27 cars on display and were awarded the best overall display award which is a great achievement to the club and especially Harry who put in tireless hours to ensure it was a great show.

The following are a couple of clickable images of the event.

The RMC boys arrived early on Sunday morning with a fantastic aluminium bodied Kirkham which was 10 deep all weekend.

Looks like you guys had a great weekend, I am so upset not to be able to make it to any these events due to work commitments, joined your club in Nov 2011 been to one meeting and my roster just does not line up with outings.
Great work guys and the club should be proud of its self for such a good turn out.
