No. They have been around for a while and are fitted to MB, Porsche, BWW and so on with reviews that are about 95% very positive. Cost is about $300 and they reduce the time delay to throttle response by about 25%. I just wondered if any with Cobras (and the non cable/rod accelerators) have tried them.

I haven't used one but I have been told they work. It's not like the resistor power chip scam. I was considering buying one few years ago for my wife's mini. Decided it was too expensive.

I guess it just depends if you think it's worth that much money. $300 can be put towards something that actually increases power.

The reviews on this are excellent for my other car. But I suppose Cobras don't need faster launch!

Default delay

Merv,

I dont like the lag in the fly by wire assembly, I wouldnt mind using one of these, might give it a go.

Yes there is a pre-programmed level of lag in most of these systems, no matter how fast your foot is, and it can benefit from some reduction. The device can be taken out in 10 mins, and has three levels of operation (none, mid and full). I have ordered one.

Let us know how it goes. Would be good to do a comparison in each setting. Track times and 0-100.
