I agree with Boxhead as to the cause.
Jaguar used to supply castor shims up to 1/8" (3.2mm) for series 1 cars.
Whilst my RMC doesn't use the Jag cross member I have 10.2mm of castor shims.
1 spacer of 1/4" (6.2mm)
1 spacer of 1/8" (3.2mm)
1 standard jag shim of 1/32" (.8mm)
