Default Heading to Europe again!

Well at the request of our European distributor (Xcovers) I have been dragged kicking and screaming into accepting a co drive for an Arctic Rally he is doing.
Home - Navigate North
I fly out of Brisbane on 24th January for an Australia Day (26th) start in the Netherlands. Then it is the first driving stage of 2500k in 30 hours... A total of 7000k in 7 days! I will be going from +40 to -40........
Up until yesterday afternoon I had no trips planned for this year...
I may post some photos etc up here if anyone is interested..

Towy, my heart bleeds! It must be tuff!

On a semi side note... make sure you get the relevant insurance cover for racing OS.

A mate of mine over Christmas broke his back in Mexico and didn't have the appropriate cover. I won't go into the gory details but his mum is now trying to sell her house. U can never be too careful.

MAKE SURE YOU POST LOTS OF PICS AND EVENT INFO.

YA Ba$TARD!

OH NO!!!! Mate you haven't have you?

Just imagine you could be staying here with the rest of us enjoying the HOTTEST bloody January on record!

Seriously Ash, give 'em heaps. Your years of experience at the frigid Nationals in Coldburn should stand you in good stead.

It's a Navigation Rally. They give you the GPS coordinates & you go from there. The first stage is approx 2500k with an allocated 30 hour timeslot... The first night will be spent driving.... Nice after a 30 hour flight! Can't wait!

Jetlag aside it sounds like great fun; like a 4 wheel version of the Iron Butt Rallies (those motorbike riders are truly hardcore - 16000km in 10 days...!)

What will you be driving?

Hey guys currently in Rovaniemi in Finland. Had a rest day today, middle of the event. Went driving the cars on race tracks on a frozen lake, go karting & snow mobiling. Also went to Santas house & told him I was good so he better bring me some good presents this year!
We have been up inside the arctic circle for 3 days now, didn't get to the most possible Northern point because of the heavy snow we have had has blocked the roads. We did make it to Narvik in Norway which is quite North...
We are currently in second place, have had some massive driving days, first one was 24 hrs straight, then a hotel stop then 18 hours with 6 hour break & hotel stop then another 17 hour day. Today was the rest day, it's midnight, I have had 6 pints of Finnish beer & we depart at 6:05am.... But the good news is there are still other teams in the bar..... So I won't be alone in my sorry state in the morning.
One of the guys in a Subaru Forrester snapped a front coil spring today.... I haven't heard of that before... But it happened on the ice today.
I am in team QPAX you can follow live on the website Home - Navigate North
