Default what coloured strippes

hi guys,
me and my dad have almost finished our cobra but we have come up with one problem!
what colour stripe?
we have painted it vodoo blue, the colour is a holden ve colour and it is metalic

here are some photos of the car, we are only having trouble on what colour stripes and its driving us crazy haha, can anyone shed there thoughts, we would like to go a white ish colour, but dont think it will look right, the colour will be in a pearl effect.

because it is a metallic paint it sort of changes depending on what angle u look from also another reason why we cant decide,
any help will be much appreciated, thanks

Why not give vinyl wrap a go to help you decide before you paint.

How about a brushed steel finish or a matte silver.

Hi,

My Cobra is also in Voodoo Blue.

I have Pearl white stripes - reckon it came up really well.

Get a lot of positive comments about it.

Should be some pics in my gallery.

Just polished it last night after being down the beach for a couple of weeks - jee it comes up a treat.

Cheers

Gregg

(Velj - I just saw your PM - I am in Croydon Hills so not far from you - if you want to come and have a look first hand send me a PM and we can work out a time etc.)

White with White pipes and White roundels!

Really depends on how classic you want to go with styling. If classic then the darker the white (towards Wimbledon White), the better IMHO. However if you want modern/racy, then perhaps go for something in a bright white or pearl.

Very nice work btw... Either way it looks awesome!
You cant lose.

PS: Welcome to CC - Pretty impressive first post too btw.

i think that particular blue is so special that perhaps you should let IT be the star of the show, instead of diluting its shocking presence by distracting stripes. Just my two cents...

If you need stripes (and, again, not every Cobra does) then try red-white-red... goes along the Australian flag

Im a big fan of the not quite white white ala wimbledon - which you can do with some perl. Also reckon the vinyl stripes are a great idea - cheap, easy to remove, DIY able.....

Welcome to the forum :-)

Car looks nice! Yep, as I think Varmit might be implying, blue ghosted stripes would look killer.

Are you going to have your painter clear the stripes in, or lay them on top? I recently painted a Cobra for a customer and used Volkswagen Casablanca white (it's a solid which has a slight cream to it and looks awesome on metallic blue - check out the pics in the 'painted a DRB' thread).

Also, who is the manufacturer of your Cobra kit and what is powering it?
