Looks great.
Those brake calipers are a nice touch. |
Now you're just skiting!
Seriously, I had a look at all these components the other day and I was mightily impressed with the attention to detail, not just on Brad's car shown here, but in every facet of the design and build process at Pace. No wonder Brad's champing at the bit to get his new baby home. |
The Waiting is nearly over
Hi Don
Well its been a long time coming i can tell you,It was June in 2012 that i paid the first deposit and it has been well worth the wait. It was yourself and Ken Gibson who i spoke with in February and March 2012 about how ,what, and who to talk to about building one of these fabulous cars. All the people in the club have been a great help with ideas and solving past and present problems. I wanted a car that enthused the essence of the Shelby Cobra that Carroll Shelby would have been proud to put his name on. Craig tells me that he is trying to get the body to Mcleans Bridge at Lakeside this weekend. I will be there to look at it again Regards Brad |
Thanks for the updated pics I'm so fired up to get my kit !!
Hang out for my visit to AP |
Brad, thanks for putting the pictures up. Probably a stupid question but the picture of the 'trial fit' with the engine, I assume its not actually in its correct position, looks very tight for headers in that photo ?
Keep the updates coming, its great to see the AP product evolve. Cheers Chris L |
About time I chimed in. :) Nice photos there.
Chris L, plenty of room for exhaust headers. Have spent many hours optimising every aspect of the chassis design. Appreciate the question though as that photo is deceiving. |
Well worth any wait that's for sure. I have been pouring over these photos and the ones in the pace thread and I just see so many good things. The footwell size, tranny tunnel, wheel arches, the cross bracing....... It's all good and I know who I would be ordering from.
And then the body...... That here is just class. You're got the right one Brad..... Just a bit more time to wait.... But it's worth it. |
Waiting
Hi Leroy
The waiting is killing me and at my age its not a good thing (stress is awful) I paid the second progress payment this morning and really got some grief from the other half. If it was shoes or handbags she who must be obeyed was buying it would be a different matter. I am sure the wait will be worth it as it was June 2012 that the deposit was paid. I don't have any more photos yet but i hope to get some this Friday maybe the drooling will stop and the work fun begins Cheers Brad |
Have fun today, look forward to the pics :)

Hi mate
I am knackered i haven't done so much screwing since i was in my early 20's rebuilding my speed boat motor. I will post photos in the morning because i am having a few cold beers to celebrate the birth of my mistress ( so she who has to be obeyed calls her). The first bolts in the chassis was a feeling that i really can't describe . I have wanted one of these cars since 1965 or 1966 i can't remember Cheers Brad |
Congrats Brad
I am hoping to get to the factory tomorrow to have a tour with Craig. Looking forward to it! Tony Quote:

Brad, after seeing the quality of work you did on your PACE 427, I am very impressed.
I have added your name to the staff whiteboard. Will have a list of jobs for you to do in the shop next week. You can work on your PACE 427 in your spare time. Just don't know if I could afford you. :) Really enjoyed having you there today, see you Sunday. |
Craig
Careful who you put on Brads been known to chant WHAT DO WANT A COBRA WHEN DO WANT IT NOW Jeff:LOL: |
Nice Words
Thanks for the nice words and encouragement
Tony you will have a great time at the Pace facility as i know i have. I have to tear myself away every time I go there because time really flies. Don't forget to get Craig to show the 6 Spot Brembo Brake Calipers .There is only one way to describe them WOW. I don't know what Wazza will do with the line Leroy but i'm sure we will all get a laugh from it even its at my expense laughing at one self can be a very enjoyable experience it builds character. Craig the white board already has a notation on it which reads "Brad Urgent" I really appreciate your kind words and thanks very much for the help from yourself ,Wayne, Don and Rob. Hey Bod i have been known to do the chant all i want is a Cobra even when i have been sober haha Cheers Brad |
