Hi Dan
They are not i repeat not rivets.
They are Hex Cup Head bolts with a Nylock nut on the underside.
I will post a close up photo on friday or saturday ( It depends on my social calender).
They look very cool i think.
Tony,
I am using a 5 Speed Tremic with a tall 5th gear and a 3.7 Ratio diff .
It should be a quickie off the lights and it should climb tall trees with no effort at all lololol.
Cheers
Brad

Brad, I see you have a 14-1-14 pattern for the Bonnet Scoop. I know there were a number of rivet patterns used on the original cars. The most popular patterns are what enthusiasts call 15-1-15 pattern & 12-1-12 pattern.
I like the 14-1-14 pattern looks nicely spaced around the rear of the scoop and up the sides. Do you know if the measurements are in the Manual?

Darryl, the 14-1-14 is a nice pattern with good visual appeal when using stainless button heads. If using rivets I would run the 15-1-15 but these days most people like the stainless button head bolt look and ease of fitment/removal and so the 14-1-14 works well.
We have scoops with 14-1-14 pattern imprinted or plain. So very quick and easy to fit with that pattern. We will keep doing numerous versions of our scoop.
Where did you read the 15-1-15 & 12-1-12 are the most popular. That sounds like something I might have written...

The stuff above is some of my work. Enjoy.

HAHAHAHA
What is going on this is way getting too complicated for an old fella like me.
I just want to enjoy the build and drive the car.
Darryl you are going to get an Absolute Pace build manual in due course and i am sure Craig will explain all the patterns that are available (at a price) .
Do you have any news on a delivery date (I didn't ask Craig last Tuesday)
You are going to truly enjoy the build process , I can't wait to do the next things that are ready to be fitted to the Pace 427.

Hi Jeff
I would hope so, but my work commitments will rise in November and December so it will be in the lap of the Gods.
It will also depend on the supply of parts and Goodies to AP.
But we all live in hope and lets hope we don't die in despair.
Cheers
Brad

Hi Darryl,
The mirror panels in the engine bay are awesome.
Craig had an engine in a Pace 427 fitted with the polished stainless mirror panels at the Nationals and it looked like the car had a V16 at first glance, the depth was amazing.
I might see you when you are on the Gold Coast I work on my car every Tuesday and Friday.
Cheers
Brad

Tuesday
Hi tony,
I will be at Pace on Tuesday for sure barring some act of catastrophe with business or family and it will be great to finally meet.
I met a couple of guys on Wednesday from Burrum heads Steve and his father Chris who are building a Pace 427 .
Chris has built a kit Aeroplane he tells me it was a lot of fun but he says that he built it 3 times ( now that sounds familiar doesn't it )
I haven't posted any photos lately because i have been busy tidying up little things on the car and we put the engine in the bay Friday afternoon.
I will be fitting the windscreen wiper motor and drive mechanism after installing the engine mounts to the chassis on tuesday.
It will be great to meet you on Tuesday.
Cheers
Brad

Hi Brad
Sounds great - I look forward to it.
I plan to call in with my wife and kids for a quick look. I will then drop them at Harbourtown and come back for a more in-depth look!
