The GM sliding calipers are a poor option, when coupled with the Nissan Skyline twin pot rear calipers. A budget upgrade would be to use the Skyline fronts as well.
I have R33 GTST "Sumitomo" calipers on 310 dia rotors with EBC red pads and car stops great ! The balance was perfect on the rollers, when the car was registered.
I used Ford Territory rotors ( DBA 2107 or RDA 7934 ) Skimmed about 10mm off rotor overall diameter. 12mm adapter plate locates caliper on VR Commodore hub ( re-drilled for ford stud pattern )........was dead easy. I have a cad file for the adapter plate drawing.
