Hi Rotax98

Is that a HQ Holden front end on your chassis? If so you might want to talk to McDonald bros racing in thomastown VIC. They make tubular arms for that front end.

Lindsay gets on here sometimes and has built a Cobra for him self and worked on a few others.

Regards

Default contact infp

Rotax if you have no luck and do facebook you may be able to get in touch with him there.

If you go to https://www.facebook.com/QLDCobraClub and then look at comments adjacent to the 2 days of thunder pics...

He's using the 6 speed sequential Holinger: Holinger H6S

I don't believe the car yet has a strain gauge fitted, so while it's a clutchless upshift Grant is still lifting off for each gearchange.

I ran into Mark at a car show months ago. The car wasn't there for me to look at, but he said fitting the Holinger required significant work to the RMC chassis. They're an odd shaped trans, but what an incredible bit of gear!

Craig, any ideas of rough cost?

I'd love one. But 20k is a g50 and 427 for the 40.

Sorry Matt, I didn't see your question. You're pretty much on the money. Good used H6S gearboxes are normally $10K to $13K, shifter is about $1500, then bellhousing, starter, clutch, etc etc etc...

New, I think the H6S is about $21K, but at least you get to choose your ratios.
